Housekeeping

The Housekeeping and Logistics teams work together behind the scenes to enhance every environment of The Ark Church. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic and a servant's heart.

Our Ideal Candidate Is:

Position Responsibilities:

  • General housekeeping duties such as dusting, window cleaning, vacuuming, restroom maintenance, polishing, and laundry
  • Periodic deep cleaning, including the use of carpet and upholstery cleaners and sanitation equipment
  • Basic computer use for communications

Work Hours:

  • Average 22-26 hours weekly
  • Work hours begin at 7:00am, Monday-Friday
  • Occasional opportunities for additional hours that arise with ministry needs

Custodial or housekeeping experience is preferred but optional.

Youth Worship Leader

We’re looking for a strong leader who is energetic, positive, and friendly, with previous experience leading worship in a church. 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong service, leadership, vocal, and administrative gifts
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • A servant’s heart and a teachable spirit
  • Openness to regular coaching, evaluation, and feedback for personal growth
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a highly structured environment with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to professionally complete time-sensitive tasks
  • Dependability, self-motivation, and initiative
  • Commitment to doing things with excellence (not willing to cut corners)
  • A strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to change
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach, and a good sense of humor

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, train, and develop volunteer worship leaders
  • Recruit, train, and schedule team members and volunteers for youth services and special events
  • Coordinate music, leaders, service flow, and special elements for all youth services involving worship
  • Sing and lead worship for Sunday and Wednesday youth services 
  • Recruit, train, and schedule team members and volunteers to build and run worship graphics for the youth and main stage auditoriums
  • Build worship graphics on a weekly basis for youth and adult ministry

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous worship leading and ministry management experience in a church is a must (attendance over 1,000 preferred but not required)
  • Software experience in Finale, Logic Pro, ProPresenter, and Ableton “Live” software

ChildCare Team Member

Position available for those 18 years or older who are friendly, dependable, and great with children. Hours vary and include some evenings and weekends.

Passion for: Creating a great environment for children that is loving, safe, and fun

Responsibilities/Requirements/Duties:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Provide own transportation
  • Able to care for children ages birth-5th grade
  • Capable of lifting, bending, and playing on the floor
  • Engage with children through creative play, crafts, games, etc.
  • General room set-up, clean-up, toy disinfecting, and occasional light laundry
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Hours:  Part-time hours vary and include some evenings/weekends as events occur and schedule requires
